In an effort to further mainstream our program into the existing education system, we have recently launched an ‘Industry Integrated’ course for BCom students at Avadh Girls’ Degree College.

The objective is to create a separate degree classification that incorporates Medha’s training and internships into the standard BCom curriculum. Students separately enroll in the program in the first year of their degree, complete 50hrs of Medha training each year for all three years, as well as two internships between their 1st and 2nd years and 2nd and 3rd years. After one year, we plan to bring this model/program to the University of Lucknow – who is the overarching certifying institution and sets curriculum guidelines, schedules, and accreditation for 153 associated degree colleges in the region – for official accreditation and replication. If we are able to get it approved, we will have created a brand new degree classification, and students will receive a ‘BCom Industry Integrated’ degree instead of just a BCom. We will then work to roll this out to their 153 affiliated colleges and corresponding 400,000 students!

We have recently achieved a significant milestone on this path by officially launching the program, enrolling 45 students within the first week of registrations, and for the first time getting our classes officially incorporated into the BCom timetable (see image below).

This has taken a very significant, sustained effort over years to get this to this point and we are extremely proud. While it is just one college right now, we see this as a key milestone on the path to mainstreaming our program.
