Aspiring entrepreneurs cities from tier II and III cities don't see it a viable career option

Youth from Tier II, III, and IV cities have poor or no access to platforms or ecosystems where they can learn and build their entrepreneurial mettle. Also, they don't get family and societal support to try an entrepreneurial stint, which is considered a high-risk choice.

The start-up scene in the country is broken – it still doesn’t have an adequate representation from the “Bharat” part of the country. As a result, innovations aren’t coming from lower in the value chains and from the grassroots, where they matter the most.

Youthscape Fellowship Program

The journey of a Youthscape fellow begins with registration and is followed by a six-day residential training program. After training, fellows are placed with start-ups to gain on-ground experience. Start-ups engage them in various projects, assignments, and functions. Over the course of 12 months, fellows receive quarterly upskilling sessions covering entrepreneurial mindset, communication, business development, financial literacy, Business Model Canvas (BMC), basic tech skills, and more. Upon completing their on-ground journey with start-ups, fellows have the opportunity to pitch their ideas to a panel. Selected fellows receive seed funding support, while others have the opportunity to secure employment through placement drives.
