Career Chaupal 2.0 brings together alumni in Gorakhpur
After a successful Career Chaupal in Barabanki, Medha’s Alumni team took their show on the road, bringing together 70 enthusiastic alumni from Gorakhpur University to create a platform for networking and experience sharing.
Alumni shared their journeys post-Medha and talking about their successes and challenges entering the workplace and higher studies. They also learned more about different career opportunities, through ’round-tables’ on banking & finance, automobile, retail, and hospitality.
Areas of interest and feedback were captured at the end of the event through a Daak-Ghar (postbox) where students posted their personal messages and comments in the form of letters. We look forward to incorporating this input into future events and programming for our alumni. In September, we are planning to take a group of alumni to Agra for a learning journey to the Taj and surrounding historical and cultural sites.
“I loved the idea of setting up the Chaupal and Medha Daak-Ghar. I also met people with the same career interests and felt motivated to complete an internship along with my studies,” said Anant Maurya, Medha class of 2016.
