Four BA students from DDU recently completed an inspiring internship with local child rights protection agency, Ehsaas. Ehsaas ‘strives to make sustainable right based interventions at children level, society and family level and at the policy level to ensure all rights to children especially those who belong to marginalized groups.’

Rita, Meenu, Mansi, and Neha spent two months with Ehsaas, working across Lucknow to identify and support street children that congregate at the railway station, bus stands, and other common areas. They counseled and made them aware of the various shelter homes and support networks Ehsaas provides, taught and played with them in their drop-in centers, and developed case histories to support ongoing legal advocacy work.

We are extremely proud and inspired by their work, and look forward to more of our students completing internships at Ehsaas.
